1.Prawn Balchao Goans are crazy for seafood. And if you talk about prawns, it’s their utmost favourite seafood. Prawn Balchao is a famous goan cuisine in Goa and Deepa Suhas Awchat has brought this prawn pickle look alike into her kitchen. Prawn Balchao is a curry cooked with prawns, onions and vinegar-based masala or with feni. This gravy is best served with pav (bread) or boiled rice. 

2.Chicken Cafreal Meat is something which the goans cannot live without! Another famous cuisine is the Chicken Cafreal. It is a combination of Portuguese and Goan cuisine. It’s prepared with whole chicken wings and cooked in the green spicy paste which consists of green chillies, fresh coriander leaves, onion, garlic, ginger, cinnamon and lime juice. It’s also flavoured with some spices and herbs. 

3.Chicken Xacutti Deepa Suhas Awchat has also brought one of the most famous recipes of Goa into the kitchen of Goa Portuguesa. It’s the Chicken Xacutti. The meat is cooked in the coconut based brown curry with generous amount of spices in it. The spices used in this curry are similar to those used in Punjabi curry powder and Garam Masala along with star anise and poppy seeds. 

4.Pork Vindalho Treat your taste buds to this traditional cuisine of ‘Pork Vindhalo.’ It’s cooked with chillies, vinegar and garlic. If you are not a pork lover, Goa Portuguesa has other meat options in their menu.
